One of our most successful projects is this first online training course for Kyrgyz therapists and experts. It covers topics like diagnostics, therapy methods, online therapy, inclusive education, and the role of music in rehabilitation. The curriculum will be integrated into Arabaev University's programs. 32 Kyrgyz therapists completed the course, and 15 received a state-recognised certificate. Strategy Plan 2025

Lehnhardt Stiftung Focus Groups

More than 15 years ago we launched the fortnightly PORA webinar : "Cochlear Implantation Knowledge". Already then, our focus  was on providing access to new technologies for experts and families. Advanced technologies, telehealth and artifical intelligence mean an increased challenge also for the exchange of knowledge and team cooperation.
To reorient our strategic activities we will form Focus Groups in summer 2025.

Supporting Speech Development of Children with Hearing Loss within the Family

Emilia Leongard is described as a pioneering Russian Teacher of the Deaf. ABSTRACT

Early access to sound is the foundation for the development of spoken language in children with hearing loss.
This presentation examines the interrelated role of audiology within the philosophy of audiological verbal therapy (AVT), and highlights the critical importance of a collaborative, family-centered approach to care.

Participants will gain a deeper understanding of how early and targeted audiological intervention—through early diagnosis, hearing technology, and ongoing device support—directly supports AVT goals.

Using clinical examples and evidence-based practices, the presentation will demonstrate how collaboration among audiologists, hearing and speech therapists, educators, other allied professionals, and families promotes optimal hearing and speech outcomes.

Participants will gain strategies and useful ideas for strengthening interdisciplinary collaboration.
